I have heard that rumor that Kioti used old Kubota tooling on this and other message boards. I have no personal knowledge as to its truthfulness. I have also heard (on the same places) that it is perpetuated mainly by Kioti sales persons.
For arguements sake lets say it is true....Does that make it a Kubota? No. Why not. There is alot more to any item than the machinery used to manufacture it. I work for a machine tool distributor for a living and can assure you that just because to places use the same machinery there work may be vastly different. Different procedures/processes, different tolerences, and different raw material suppliers or raw material quality levels just to name a few. This is even IF they are trying to make the same parts. (ANOTHER BIG IF)
In alot of companies there are differences in facility to facility. (Isn't Firestone trying to blame their woes on one plant?) I have assisted customers with moving equipment from one facility to another only to turn around and move it back later because their customer demanded it.
All that would be known for certain is if Kioti did buy Kubota old tooling is that they bought some used machinery and that's done everyday by companies.

I bought my L2500DT (little brother to the L3000) from Carver a little over 2 yrs ago. No problems with tractor or Carver. Thay are GREAT people before during and AFTER the sale (parts, service, and sales, even silly questions). I still stop in from time to time look at the shinny new ones when I'm in the neighborhood. (I only live about 75 miles away but pass several other "orange" tractor dealers on the way)<br>

1998 Kubota L2500DT 147hrs It has mowed, bush hogged, bladed (scraper and box), loadered, disced, and plowed.

What do you own how many hours on it

As Murf said, tear the sucker apart get the numbers off the bearings and get them from somewhere else. I've never tried an auto parts joint for anything but wheel bearings. Your best bet may be the local industrial bearing joint or try http://www.appliedindustrial.com They have bought up several of the local bearing/power transmission places around here and have gotten me a variety of bearings (including precision ones) overnight.

I took the bucket off of the loader arms on my Kubota L2500 (Kubota LB400 loader) to weld some hooks on the bucket. it took about 5 min to get off and about another 5 to put back on . It was on level concrete surface.

My personal OPINION is to beware of the Rhino, China diesels, etc out there. I don't know about the Kioti. They have at least been around long enough to have a fair dealer network and seem to have quite a few satisfied owners judging from the messages I've seem posted. You might want to take a look at the Kubota "economy" L series. (L2350 & L2500 now replaced for 2000 by L2600 and L3000). These are physically about the same size as the Ford/NH 1720. They lack some of the creature comforts of the regular kubota B & L series but have a reasonable price.
Don't know how you are planning on financing the tractor purchase but the new ones (or lease returns) can get good rates on financing from the manufacturers that may offset a big outlay of cash for a used machine or higher interest rate personal loan. (You can include implements w/ Kubota don't know about the others). This was a big deciding factor for me (besides the fact I didn't really want a 20 yr old tractor that took 30 min of repairs before going to work). A lease return (harvest return or what ever you wanna call em) may be a good option for you. Check out www.carverequipment.com they actually list real tractor prices on their web site. It may be worth while to drop SC an e-mail and get his recomendations.

Jon,<br>Try www.carverequipment.com then click on the parts shopper button they have service manuals listed on the bottom of the page. I beleive the B7300 service manual is $87. They will ship it to you UPS so you don't even have to leave home.<br>Jeff
